Allison Altshule

Allison Altshule is an audience development associate at The Examination.

Allison most recently worked as an audience analyst for Gigafact, a fact checking organization that partners with newsrooms to check local claims. She graduated from Georgetown University and began her journalism career working with Solitary Watch covering solitary confinement in U.S. prisons and jails. As an audience research fellow at the Institute for Nonprofit News (INN), she consulted with dozens of newsrooms on their audience strategies and developed a survey template for newsrooms to efficiently learn about and connect with their audiences.

Based out of Los Angeles, California, she can often be found walking her dogs, cooking for friends and family, and watching reality TV.
