Madlen Davies is a senior editor at The Examination. Previously she was investigations editor at The BMJ and global health correspondent at The Bureau of Investigative Journalism. She has led numerous impactful investigations into health topics, including reporting on a highly criticized research paper used to restrict abortion access in the U.S., gas companies spreading misinformation about cheaper forms of medical oxygen and Pfizer demanding governments put up state assets as collateral in covid vaccine negotiations. Her stories have won The Association of British Science Writers’ Steve Connor Award for Investigative Journalism in 2021 and 2019, the Foreign Press Association’s Science Story of the Year 2021 and many others. In her spare time she likes to read fiction and cook elaborate meals.
